Go Kart Go! Nitro! is the second installment in the Go Kart Go! series which was first released on March 28, 2012.
Gameplay[]
The player is supposed to complete challenges on circuits where they race against others while fighting them with weaponry on their go karts.
They start off by selecting a character such as Rhino Bert and then they head their way onto circuits such as Autumn Park with the help of weapons found in item boxes such as rockets, oil stains and water splashes as well as boost pads scattered across the track in order to win and unlock new characters like Bruno and challenges like Valley Of The Giants and others.
Remake[]
On August 27, 2021, it was brought back and remade in an attempt to save web games from extinction due to websites not hosting them any longer for outdated game engines and their respective plugins. It can only be played when paid.
Trivia[]
- It is the only game in the Go Kart Go! Franchise which does not feature the Two Players mode. Go Kart Go! Air! technically is about playing in split-screen multiplayer, although they can play on their own.
- It features two characters which are not available in any other game from the Go Kart Go! Franchise, which are Ali The Great and Miss Daisy.
- Xform stated that out of all games in the Go Kart Go! series, the second installment has been the one where the budget was the biggest, which allowed to have a lot more and unique circuits, unlike the successor Go Kart Go! Ultra!.
- Xform has jokingly called this a Mario Kart clone on their blog.
